These terms

These terms apply to quotations issued by Titan Pest Control, trading as Titan Pest Control, and to the pest control, bird control, wildlife management and proofing work we carry out for you. By accepting a quotation or instructing us to attend, you accept these terms.

Quotations and pricing

Our pricing is quote-led. We do not publish rates, because the price depends on the pest, the property, the scale of the infestation and the access arrangements. Quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation.

A quotation is based on the information you give us. If the scope found on site differs materially from what was described, for example a far larger infestation or additional buildings, we will tell you before continuing and confirm any revised price with you.

Booking, access and site conditions

Attendance is arranged with you in advance. You are responsible for providing safe access to the affected areas, roof spaces, ledges or plant rooms in scope, and for arranging any permits, escorts or induction your site requires.

Risk assessments and method statements are issued on request where your site requires them before access is granted. Please tell us at the point of booking if they are needed.

Where access cannot be provided, or the site is not in a state that allows the work to proceed safely, we may need to reschedule. Costs of an abortive visit caused by lack of access may be chargeable.

Carrying out the work

Treatments, proofing and clearance work are carried out by our own technicians, who hold IPAF, CSCS, SSSTS and RSPH accreditation, and who may on occasion be supported by approved subcontractors working on our behalf.

Some treatments require rooms, kitchens or areas to be vacated for a period, and preparation may be needed before we attend. We will tell you what is required when the work is booked, and you must follow the preparation and aftercare instructions we give you for the treatment to be effective.

Our survey reflects the condition of the property at the time of the visit. It is not a warranty against future pest activity, particularly where recommended proofing work is declined or where conditions around the property change.

Reports and payment

Any report or recommendation arising from the visit is issued to you in writing. Documentation is released once payment for the visit has been received.

Invoices are payable in accordance with the terms stated on the invoice or quotation. Ownership of any report remains with us until payment is received in full.

Findings and follow-up work

Where a survey identifies proofing, repair or clearance work, it is set out with the action required. That work is quoted and carried out as a separate instruction unless it was already included in the agreed scope.

Acting on our recommendations is your decision as the property owner or occupier. We will price and complete the work if you instruct us to, and confirm the position on completion.

Cancellation and rescheduling

Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to move or cancel a booked visit. Late cancellation may be chargeable where a technician has already been allocated or has travelled to site.

Insurance and liability

We hold £5,000,000 public liability insurance, £5,000,000 product liability insurance and £10,000,000 employers liability insurance. Certificates are available on request for your contractor or tender pack.

Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise our liability in connection with the work is limited to the value of the work carried out, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as loss of profit, loss of business or loss of use.

Your information

We handle personal information in line with our privacy policy, which explains what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
